Backups and schedules
How to create server copies and automate recurring tasks.
Creating a manual backup
- Open Backups in the Game Panel.
- Click Create backup and enter a name that identifies the moment it was made.
- Wait for completion before shutting down or restarting the server.
- When available, periodically download a copy to another location.
The number of backups and retention period depend on your plan.
Restoring a backup
A restore replaces current files with the selected copy. Before confirming it:
- check the backup date and size;
- warn players that progress made after that copy will be lost;
- if possible, back up the current state first.
Restoring is a destructive action. Do not close the browser or start the server until the process finishes.
Schedules
The Schedules menu automates tasks at defined times. A schedule can run commands, send power actions, or create backups, depending on the resources available with your plan.
Example: daily restart
- Create a schedule at the least busy time.
- Add a command task that warns players.
- Add enough delay for players to disconnect.
- Add the restart action.
- Enable the schedule and check the next run shown in the panel.
Example: recurring backup
- Create a separate backup schedule.
- Choose a frequency that matches server activity.
- Add the create-backup task.
- Monitor the first runs to confirm there is enough space and the task completes.
Schedules do not replace backup monitoring. Regularly confirm that copies complete and can be restored.
